The easiest alternative is an online wallet. You don’t have to worry about data sync issues there as they handle the Nano network data for you and you only have to deal with the wallet seed and public account numbers.
Do you have your local wallet seed value (Accounts | Backup/Clipboard Wallet Seed)? If so, then you can create a wallet at either Nanovault or Nanowallet. You’ll have to find out how to use your existing seed or transfer your wallet or whatever language they use. I don’t have those step-by-step details.
As long as the online wallet uses the same seed as your local wallet, then it will also use the same public account numbers and you can access your funds there.
PS- The new wallets that are currently in development will be much more user friendly, but they aren’t complete yet and you are probably better off in a web wallet for now. Make sure to keep your seed value stored in a safe location. It is the key to any wallet recovery and transfers.
